Clarence Reynolds

Clarence Reynolds has built a career as a journalist and broadcast professional. He brings more than two decades of broadcast production, on-air hosting and senior communications experience to TIA NOW productions.

Prior to joining TIA, Clarence was Associate Producer and Host of Programming on the Orange County, FL government network, Orange TV. Previously, he worked as a News Anchor at the NBC affiliate in Atlanta and the FOX affiliate in Indianapolis. Clarence has also served as a Correspondent for the PBS program Antiques Roadshow, and Director of Communications for two regional non-profit organizations.

Clarence holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from American University in Washington, DC and a Master of Science in Psychology from Troy University.



Brian West
Director, Interactive Media

Brian West has been with TIA since 2004 and has served in many roles. As Director of Interactive Media, he performs the roles of General Manager, Executive Producer and Director of the studio and its programming, which entails planning, shooting, lighting and direction of all filming and events.

Prior to joining TIA, Brian was a freelance videographer, editor and sound engineer for the TV & film industry in Los Angeles, CA. He worked for ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox, Discovery Networks, A&E, ESPN, Disney, and other networks, studios and corporate clients.

Brian holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY.



Claire Johnson
Senior Producer / Production Manager

Claire Johnson joined TIA NOW in 2011 and now serves as Senior Producer and Production Manager. Claire is responsible for coordinating, managing and executing pre-production, production and post-production activities for studio and field video productions at TIA. She is also the lead video editor and alternate director for the TIA NOW studio and supports the Director of Interactive Media with lighting, sound and camera work on all productions.

Prior to joining TIA, Claire filmed and produced videos for a Chicago-based energy auditing firm. Previously, Claire worked as a press intern for Massachusetts Senate President Therese Murray and was the General Manager for Emerson College’s Emerson Independent Video (EIV), the largest student-run video production organization in the country.

Claire holds a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism from Emerson College in Boston, MA.

Jobs and Internships

TIA NOW is currently offering several internship opportunities:

Video Reporter Intern


Responsibilities:
 
1)  Interns will receive a semester project tailored for your concentration and school major. On-camera interns will have a professional video reel by the end of the semester. All interns will be assigned a mentor for the duration of their time at TIA NOW.
 
2)  The TIA NOW intern will perform various production assistant duties. They will include script writing and preparation, studio setup and operation, teleprompter, graphics, video editing, ENG equipment setup and breakdown, ENG field production and local travel via DC metro.
 
3)  Pre-production work is a big part of ensuring a quality product. These tasks will include booking guests, tracking viewer analytics, collaborating with marketing and sales teams and administrative tasks.

Qualifications:

 

  • Self-driven; desire to achieve goals without constant supervision
  • Familiarity with video editing, preferably Final Cut Pro
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Previous experience strongly preferred
  • Pursuing a degree in Journalism, Communications or a similar field is preferred

 
Skills to be developed:

  • Enhance overall proficiency with digital media equipment.
  • Learn about newest industry trends
  • Strengthen video editing, research and organizational skills.
  • Gain experience generating ideas for shows, features and news packages.


What we offer:

Digital Media Intern
