New Updates to Data Center Cabling Standard TIA-942

All internet traffic must live somewhere, and that home is thousands of data centers spread throughout the world, each one relying on high speed connectivity provided by millions of miles of fiber cabling. To achieve and maintain the phenomenal growth in traffic, fiber cabling had to be standardized within data centers. That standard, TIA-942 - which enables the deployment of fiber in data centers - has recently been updated with the release of 942-B. John Jacobs, VP of Market Intelligence and Research at TIA, spoke with Jonathan Jew, President of J&M Consultants and Secretary of TIA’s TR-42 Cabling Systems Engineering Committee, about the important changes in this update and why it's critical for those who build and manage data centers.

Jonathan will be presenting at TIA's Optimizing Data Center Performance Workshop October 16-17 in Arlington, VA. Find out more and register today >>
